jaden, leaned up against the gate of destruction, was asleep as usual. His hair dangled infront of his third eye which, though he was sleep, was wide open gazing casually around the area scouting for any and everything.

everything was calm, jadens hair moved with the cosmic energy constantly swirling.

this since of peace was disrupted when a burst of white fire arose no more then 10 yards away from jaden. in the flame came a demon. jaden was still asleep, as expected from someone like him.

the demon walked towards jaden and stopped when he was in arms reach of him. the demon crouched down infront of him "hmmmm...he's asleep. deep asleep by the looks of it"

he said this then glanced at his third eye, jadens third eye stared back. they both stared at each other for at least 30 seconds straight. neither one blinking or making a move of any kind.

jadens third eye blinked and the demon flinched slightly, then thought to himself "i never understood these elders. there all weird, the lot of 'em" jaden spoke "i heard that" with a grin on his face.

the demon jumped back and fell on his backside "i-i thought you were sleep..."

jadens third eye closed as he raised his head, he opened his two other eyes then looked at the demon "i was..untill you showed up"

he eyed the demon carfully "a demon...messenger? what could you possibly want from me?"

the demon cleared his throat as he began to speak "ahem....wait..hold on" he looked around at the ground and picked up a letter he had dropped ealier.

he opened it "alright. ahem, jaden the gate gaurdian, the 21^st member of the leigon, there is a matter that the underworld needs you to assist in. we want yo--"

"stop" jaden said cutting him off "you want me to hunt down and bring you the head of a rouge demon, if i do not do so it would mean the slaughter of countless human, and would lead into an even greater issue with heaven and hell. seeing as though demons are not allowed on earth, uncloaked anyway, and aren't allowed to cause any physical harm to the humans. and if this got to the big man there would be troouble" jaden chuckled to himself.

demon how ever didn't find it so funny " yes, thats right" he said with a stern tone "and it would be oh so kind of you to do it quickly"

jaden sat up some and brought one knee up "and why can't anyone else do it?" the demon smirked "your the one who can hear thoughts, you tell me."

jaden was not amused "you do realize i can kill you, don't you?".

the demon took a step back "the only reason we want you to do it is because you have the keen ability to rip out souls, if the demon had consumed any you would be able to pull the souls out before they were digested. believe it or not we were thinking of the good of the humans when we picked you"

jaden sighed to himself "fine fine i guess you do have a point. i will take care of this issue, and you won't have to worry about another war between heaven and hell. you guys still havent fully recovered from the last one."

jaden laughed a bit then got up to his feet.

"right, well, my job is done here." the demon said as he begin to turn around to leave.

then a thought crosses the demons mind "heh...he's not as vicious as the rumors say...they said he killed all the messengers that came to him...guess i lucked o--"

but before he could finish his sentence jadens jigen blade pierced through his back bursting out through his stomach.

jaden leaned his head to the demons ear and said, speaking as if three beings were speaking at once "theres no such thing as luck"

he ripped sword out through the top of the demons head cuting him in half.

the demon burst into flames and turned into ashes. jaden cleaned off hsi blade with his cloak then said to himself "now, lets get this over with."
