I choose this title because the 2 planets are so close....and yet so far...
I've been working on this peice for a few days now, but havent been able to complete it due to school related stuff. Every time i look at this i think of something new i could do with it. Like, make it some kind of space battle field or somfin. I might do that, not sure. Welp, until i make my decision it'll be just this. As you already know this is Not to be used for commercial purposes. It is meant ONLY as a wallpaper.
I re-did the blue planet, and bumped up the contrast so the clouds would look more realistic. I, also, altered the color of the star alittle. Since it's on the green side of the picture, i thought it should be alittle green as well.
This is a great peice. The concept was laid down pretty well and the textures on the green planet is amazing.
I see a lot of space art and mostly all of them have this same concept. So it's not origional but I can see you were not aiming to be origional.
The blue planet detracts from this art. Its clouds aren't very sharp and you can hardly see the texture on it. It also looks like it's all one color. The star in the back is very cliche, I think if you did a Ctrl+U (Hue/Saturation) change on it, it would have made this lot more pleasing than it already is.
Background stars are meh. Work on your backgrounds.
Overall, the green planet is absolutely superb. Judging from your past work, this isn't your best one. In my opinion, you should have only put the green planet and left the blue one out.
According to science.. In another galaxy their is an existing twin of our planet. Though its a lot bigger and much full of mystery. Maybe aliens live there.
